We are extremely happy and grateful to be able to announce that our new Ukraine Solidarity Bus is here! On Saturday, 12 October, it started out on its first journey to Lviv. The basics: it’s a Ford Transit, 4 wheels, 6 metres long, 9 seats, so there is plenty of space for humanitarian aid and seats for refugees. In other words, we can continue our work without having to worry about whether the bus will or will not break down during our next journey. This is fantastic, so thank you all very much!
Our thanks go out first and foremost to our partner association Roter Stern Berlin 2012 e.V. who will share the van with us, and who generously funded not only most of the purchase amount, but will also cover the van’s running costs (like insurance). And then of course to you out there – who donated and raised funds for us, who took part in or helped organise the solidarity bike ride, or gambled away money at the casino solidarity event – you rock! A special shout out to our friends from Bajszel for their tireless support and for hosting our fundraising events.
